JD Logistics unveils roadmap to enable 2-3 day delivery in global markets

JD Logistics (JINGDONG Logistics), the logistics arm of JD.com, revealed its overseas business development roadmap. The roadmap focuses on enhancing the company’s global warehouse, express delivery, and air freight networks.

This initiative aims to scale JD Logistics’ global omni-channel e-commerce fulfillment services, establish a 2-3 Day Delivery Circle, expand express delivery service regions, and build an international aerial network. These efforts will enable efficient global supply chain and logistics solutions for overseas clients, Chinese brands, and cross-border merchants.

JD Logistics introduced two new services: the “Simplified Reverse Returns Service” and the “Overseas Warehouse Bulky Item Delivery and Installation Service.”

2-3 Day Delivery Circle Powered by Overseas Warehousing and Delivery

JD Logistics prioritizes placing inventory close to consumers by building a localized supply chain logistics network. By 2025, the company will establish a 2-3 Day Delivery Circle across 19 countries, supported by over 50 self-operated overseas warehouses, doubling its total warehouse floor area.

Currently, JD Logistics’ 2-3 Day Delivery service operates in multiple markets, including the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Poland, UAE, Japan, South Korea, and Australia, with select regions already benefiting from one-day delivery. In the next phase, JD Logistics will accelerate the launch of new warehouses in Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, further expanding its 2-3 Day Delivery coverage.

Global Omni-Channel Fulfillment for E-commerce

Leveraging its extensive global logistics infrastructure, JD Logistics provides seamless “Global E-commerce Omni-channel Fulfillment Services” with unified inventory management. Its comprehensive offering includes sea freight, air freight, truck dispatch, and trailer services, alongside value-added solutions like shared warehousing (B2B/B2C), integrated forward and reverse logistics, and bulky-item delivery and installation.

JD Logistics launched its “Simplified Reverse Returns Service to streamline after-sales processes.” The service supports returns from any location, quality inspections for resale, and disposal of damaged goods. The process can be completed within 72 hours, ensuring businesses and consumers a fast and hassle-free experience.

JD Logistics addresses common challenges in bulky-item delivery with its “Overseas Warehouse Bulky Item Delivery and Installation Service.” Offering doorstep delivery, integrated installation, and multi-channel truck dispatch, the service tackles industry issues like service fragmentation, high damage rates, and resource limitations.

Building a Global “Aerial Artery” Supply Chain

JD Logistics is developing its “11668” Global Supply Chain Framework to strengthen cross-border logistics:

  • 1 global air transport hub at Wuhu Global Port.
  • 1 main base for JD Airlines in Nantong, Jiangsu Province.
  • 668: Six regional air hubs worldwide and 68 dedicated all-cargo air stations.

Since launching in late 2023, JD Express’ “International Express” and “International Standard Express” services have provided tailored logistics solutions to merchants and consumers. JD Express now delivers to nearly 80 countries and regions, with delivery times from China to Europe and North America as fast as three days.

Accelerating Global Supply Chain Integration

JD Logistics is committed to building an integrated, efficient, globally connected supply chain network. By expanding its services and infrastructure, JD Logistics will drive cost reductions, enhance efficiency, and enable high-quality development for businesses and industries worldwide.
